2006 G6 Transmission issue

Hello all, I just picked up an 06 with 110,000 miles on it and it had a bad shift solenoid A. Went ahead and dropped the pan and pulled the side cover and replaced the bad solenoid. Also replaced the filter and filled with fresh fluid per the service manual directions with leaving it running and pulling the plug and watching til oil started to trickle out. Didn't mess with anything but those items. After getting it all back together tonight, it will not go into reverse or drive. When it's in park it is parked and the parking pawl is engaged. When not in park or in any gear you can push the vehicle just like it was in neutral. What could be the issue?? Drove fine and had no issues other than the solenoid before.

Pulled the pan and checked to make sure the filter was seated properly and it was. Put it back together and filled the transmission again and same thing. Has park, but no reverse and no forward gears. No CELs or codes. Wants to creep when the rpms are up around 4,000. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have never run into something like this from a simple fluid and filter change. Let me know, Thanks.

I'm thinking you need to go back in and inspect the new shift solenoid you put in. Make sure it's hooked up properly, and that you didn't leave something disconnected.

I'm not wanting to pick on you - but I suspect something left unconnected as the most likely cause.
