Has anyone painted the chrome grill-screen black on their GXP?

I had mine powder coated flat black.

to paint the grill (honeycomb) part on a 07 g6 v6, do you need to sand the honeycomb down? then prime and spray? or should I just spray without sanding them?

not stealing just helping..... but i didnt sand mine down the 1st time i did it... just popped them out and washed them, let them dry and sprayed away. i sanded them the 2nd time because i changed the color of the honeycomb, so i wanted that 1st layer off... BTW.. when you go to take the chrome pieces out, start from the bottom and work your way... i found out the hard way, but it works best to start at the bottom IMO
