I have a pair of 5 spoke spider tail's....i had them in my 6 and i have pretty dark tinted tails and they were not bright enough. They are red LED's and i would say they're not quite as bright as halogens. Now, i've read that if the LED color and lens color match it'll pop, but with my tinted tails its not bright enough and is pretty unsafe.
One arm does not stay open fully, you can see it in the second picture it is on the right and is the top arm, also in the third picture. They're a tight squeeze to get into the housing but they fit and the arms collapse obviously.
If anyone with untinted tails wants to give them a whirl....

Actually, never mind, I think I'm going to hold off on it for now. Got some other things that take priority over my wallet right now... damn bills and broken things...

It's because they are spider, they don't actually reflect off the mirrors inside the tail on the G6-
I've tried many different' LED's on my tinted tails. Nothing works better than the standard bulb because of the total reflection it gives off. I've tried all the ones from Oracle (aacstyle.com) and even $2 ones off eBay. Thought 30SMD's would work but yea, no. So if you have tinted tails, they won't work. I put LED's in the reverse light because I left those un-tinted and they are bright as hell and badass. Def recommend.

3057 is what sylvania calls for, Which is weird because it's a dual filament. I would assume the 3056 would work just as well.

I used a 3157 LED 18SMD Bridgelux. Which is hyper white premium LEDs that are dedicated towards bright and sharp hues. The website is

I use this place for all my lighting and have spent a great deal of money on them - but quality and light as well as customer service is where I go. Especially since they are USA and out of Louisiana. The website also shows a sense of quality and dedication. Also, yes, as mentioned, expensive for LEDs, especially Xenons and Ballast. Whfeew!
