Not without some extremely difficult and time consuming body modifications.

According to Stant Gas and Radiator caps (stant.com)

Stant # 10511 (locking gas cap) will fit the 2005 G6 with 3.5L V6 and will replace the GM provided gas cap behind the gas flap door cover.

Stant is the world's largest supplier of radiator and gas caps and are usually found in most auto parts stores.

Stant did not have anything listed for the 2006 models. One would think that on the 2006 sedan with the 3.5L V6 that the stant number would be the same.

I wished that the G6 had a locking gas flap door cover like my old 1989 Grand Prix LE had. You pulled a lever under the seat that was attached to a cable (similar to a ten-speed bicycle brake cable) and it unlatched the lock in the inside of the gas flap door cover and then the gas flap door cover would unlock and open up slightly.

When you finished filling the gas tank, replaced the gas cap and then closed the gas flap door cover, you would hear the gas flap door cover lock 'snap' and it would not open unless you re-pulled the lever.

Better yet, the bonneville will lock/unlock the gas door whenever you hit the lock/unlock button on the door or with the remote. Manual override was in the trunk.

We must have been so paranoid in the 80's about people messing with our gas. My 86 escort had this feature.

I think newer GMs have that. The Lucerne has it.

They should really start putting it in all cars.

Word.

I hope they come out with a locking gas cap for the GTP soon...
