a friend of mine just bought a 1999 grand am gt mint condition looks really nice.They are having a problem with the service engine light comming on they have had it back to the dealer several times and they said they have fixed it but then in a couple of days and this last time the next day the light would come on again .They are stuck on what it could be causing it to come on all the time.The dealer kept there car last time and have had it about a week last i talked to them nothing was heard from the dealer
Anybody have had this problem or know anything would be great i really want to help these people find out what it might be

Your friend needs to find out the code that is producing the SES light. :)

You also might want to refer your friend to www.gaownersclub.com, I'm sure he'll like it ;)

Without more details on the actual cause of the SES light (the code like SCGA1 mentioned is a good start) it's pretty hard to troubleshoot...
