cleaning my car the other day i noticed the hinge on the driver and passenger side they are silver.they had surface rust on them not verry happy about this as the car is only month and a half old this could turn into a real problem im going to see the dealer about it next week :(

shouldnt be a big issue. They should be able to replace that part with no problem

With the constant friction on that part I wouldn't expect it to ever be a problem. Rust will get rubbed off before it can develop into a problem.
