Police Cars (Impala's) have a steering lockup problem - not the same system probably - but interesting to read that (SHOCK) GM had never had a complaint - never heard of the problem.

had a 98 corvette,had steering lockup problem,backed out of garage,the steering wouldn't move.gm had a recall,they looped the electric steering lock.
lucky it happened in the driveway
