Being a long time member of V6Z24.com, and realizing that there are almost no performance parts/bolt ons/ kits/ hardly anything for a 1st&2nd Generation Cavalier, I think there should be someway we can make aftermarket companies start producing parts for us. I mean, we have to slap a 3rd generation engine in them to get anywhere. (not bashing 3X00's) But i think we've gone unnoticed for quite some time, and frankly, im sick of it. I think this site would be a great outlet for us to start having some of the cooler parts made. (Ex. Adjustable camber kits, coilovers, swaybars, CAI's etc) Again, just stating my opinion, and wanting to hear others. Thanks!

opinion or harsh truth? opinion: i'm with you. even though i don't own one i think they should make performance parts for everything.
harsh truth: not gonna happen if they're not gonna make money. can you blame them? takes lot of money for R&D on new parts. they need to see they're going to make that money back and then more. be like asking you to pay your employer just to work there.

easy way.. throw investment money into a company to produce specific part. Giving a company money to make x amount of x type of parts speeds up the process immensely.

Same problem with Grand Am's more so withy the older ones then anything but there nothing you can really do except make custom parts/ make things for other cars/engines fit yours.

I think it is a generalization with all GM motors, that they have a relatively small aftermarket. I know there is very little for my Fieros Iron Duke.
I think the LS/LT have a biggest aftermarket of GM's motors.

i dont know about that. just about any of the older small blocks and alot of the big blocks have just about anything you want for them.

i think it would be sweet to have aftermarket parts for them older cars. it wont happen tho. not enoght people have them and there is no demand for it. its not llike you have civic where you canbasicly walk into 7-11 and buy parts for it. i also nelive in fabrication and making things from nothing and being creative :)

shouldn't forget you can still get a lot of parts for quads and definitely don't forget the ecotec and all of its variations.
