: GT Wheels without Cover?

We are looking at a GT with the chrome cover. Has anyone seen what the wheels look like under the plastic chrome cover on the GT? I know that they are aluminum but wonder how they look. I think that the plastic cover will trap salt, moisture and dirt which will cause the wheel to deteriorate and look bad in a couple of years. If the wheels look good, I'd take the covers off and not mess with them. Anyone have photos?

The NON-chrome-clad wheels are not the same style. They're actually pretty plain. Here are some pix...

They are NOT chrome covers. They're Chrometech wheels, which means that a thin layer of plastic is bonded to the wheel before the chrome plating takes place to facilitate adherence but you can't take it off.
