I would love to do Road Atlanta. It would be a 9 hour trip fpr me:(
I am really going to try to go to Mid Ohio this year. I joined NASA and there is a wealth of information there.

It's Road AMERICA not Atlanta. If you joined NASA and are in IN. your region should be The Great Lakes. I'm in IL. in The Midwest region. There are several crossover events. The first is Putnam Park. I'll be there with the GTO.

Doh!!!! I sure missed that. I sure would be more active in the road racing if someone would buy my drag car. We shall see. So for now I am just doing HPDE's.

You should bring your drag car down to RTE 66 (Chicagoland Motor Speedway) on a weekend & put a 4 sale on it. Ya get alott more track time doin' HPDE's than drag racing.

The G6 moves pretty well with that slap stick auto. How does it handle?

Mine is a 6sp. I have lowered with Eibach springs. Removed the resonator, don't know if that did anything but it sounds better!
With the stock springs it had quite a lot of roll. Now it does pretty good. I need to upgrade tires and brakes. I don't mind the street tires but the Goodyears are chunking out pretty good. I think I can go 1 or 2 more times, but will have to flip them on the rims first. I just turned 11,500 miles, bought it in September of 06, it is an 07 coupe.
I have taken it drag racing too. It went a 15.17 in 1/4 mile. I just was playing around, never messed with tire pressure. I think it would run in the 14's with some air out and some playing with the clutch off the line.
