I work for a company that typically makes evo parts but they have decided that there is enough demand for G6 intakes. If all goes well more parts will follow. Im sure the rules wont allow to post any sales info yet as I am not a vendor so I wont at this time. What I want from you guys&girls(the g6 owners) what finish you would be most interested in.
A basic finish, natural-prob the cheapest.
A Gloss black finish, powder coated-still economical.
A chrome finish-def the most expensive.
Obviously from a performance guy like myself I like black its clean and black releases the most heat so probably better air charge as well.
Anything else you can tell me about in the design aspect I will consider. This is to be an intake designed with you the owner in mind.

Does it bring a heat shield. I'm wondering if the heat shield is even too important. I don't like the long ram to much. It's cleaner but damn the disassemble and the location is kind of out of the way. I just have the stock air tunnel and added the K&N air filter. it's pretty good and I'm saving 2 mpg if I replaced the whole kit would I get better results? I know the passage of air is smoother but will it affect much?

Usually the colder air from the lower, out of engine bay location does help. But I will dyno the car and try different combinations and the highest HP producer will be the main intake sold and I will post up the results.

i would be interested but the price has to be right and i want a crome intake..

how much money would the Gloss Black be and the chrome one?

to be honest with you i dont have a prototype yet to send out but chrome is usually about double the price so figure the chrome will prob be about $30-$40 more then the black approx.
