Good morning all, I accidentally hit the reset button my oil reset life.

I am at 900 miles and the percent was at 80.

Can I just wait for it oil life to goto 20 percent or do I really need to get the oil change at 3000?

Mine got reset too on accident, so I just go by mileage, not what the life thingy says.

I've gotten two oil changes already, don't even know how to reset mine!! lol

I reset mine by accident as well, I'd still go by the percentage, because these modern cars don't need to have the oil changed every 3000 or 3 months they are built to be able to go longer, I'd say every 5000 or 6 months is a great interval to have, you could probably push it even longer, but if you drive hard like I do, I go with 4500 or 6 months on my cars.
