you can call it what you want the cobalt was just a better built cavalier. its time for something completely fresh and exciting looking. hopefully the cruze fits the bill

So did it say that all cars on the delta platform are gone?
Like HHR and various cars from other countries opel and like the g4 from mexico.

But i would like to see something new.
My friend has a cobalt and hes had it for a year and already trading the "ticking time bomb" in LOL

Chevy Cruze = BORING!!!

It reminds me of the Dodge caliber, tall and boxy with a feeble attempt at aggressive looking lights.

To me, it's way better than the Cavalier it replaced but that's it. I rented a Cobalt once and it's a major downgrade from my G6. Nothing feels right in that car and I hated every minute driving it. GM just doesn't know how to build small cars. They need to get their act together or copy from the competition. I have no problem with Chevys. They all drive nice, the Uplander, the Malibu, the Equinox, etc. but not the Cobalt.

I saw the Cruze at the Detroit Auto Show and I thought it looked pretty good.

And they gave up Pontiac for this?
GM better get their heads out of their behinds or they're going to be going broke again.
That car looks like it was done by a greeenhorn designer who doesn't have a clue.

Cruze is about economy and price. The Cobalt, had one of the largest engines in its class, which didn't help it win any class comparisons among rival vehicles. In a way, I think GM is starting to follow Hyundai & Kia: GM is starting to realize that value and economy are the top selling points in today's market. GM shrinks, while import automakers grow even in a slumped economy. GM - bring on the Cruze!
