GT's have diff gear ratios and shifting options than the V6 model. I think the V6 model came online in 06 cause they were called the base model in 05. What year is your car? Again different gear ratios. But otherwise all the mods will do just as fine GT or base. Pretty sure that the part numbers are the same as well.
