Does anyone know of a company that sells a Performance ECM/TCM (or PCM) chip? Perferably a company that you have used and the Chip works well for you. Everywhere i look, it looks like a scam. So im hoping for some feedback and good advice on a chip. I've had my 2007 Pontiac G6 3.5L since January of 09. And its stock. As of last night it runs 16.034 @88.9MPH. Looking for a little quirk to knock me down a second or 7 :).

There are a couple of different options you have. There are Westers and Vectors Tune. Chris White the person that used to do the tunes for vector, has spilt from them and is now doing his own also. You can do your own also with HPtuners. I have a Vector Tune.

yeah...the Vector tune was written by Chris so I bought his.

I recommend a tune. It woke my car up. Thats the best way to put it.

would you recommend HPtuners? which one is cheaper? im a Marine with a family.. (tight Budget)

hp tuners does not support the G6....you gotta find someone who does them.
Like he said....there are three. Two of which were done by the same guy.

If your finacially strapped - a tune is not cheap.

No tune is really cheap, it is worth it but not cheap at all.

ok well. My wife is really good with money. So she can save my money for me so i can get one :P. it just might take some time..


So how much damage we talkin?

my only thing is. With the Vector PCM. it only adds 12-15 hp to the wheels. But then again, It does get rid of the Govenor Issue im having :P i could get used to not having that thing on there. :D

There are thousands of paramters and HP Tuners no longer supports the G6 anymore so NO ONE is doing it but the three listed above. HP call ours an oddball PCM and its hard to even get them to respond on their site about our need for a tune: http://www.hptuners.com/forum/

How does this tune work? I buy it, and then? Where do i put it? Or does he have to program it? If thats true, I live in Canada. So I guess no tune for me? haha, dont really know much about cars so excuse me.
