Hi,

Just my my G6 GT last week and want to change the oil. Can someone please explain where the drain plug is?

Thanks,
Larry

The drain plug is under the car (obviously), near the front and towards the center. It's facing the rear of the vehicle, so you can only see it from that angle.

Why are you changing it already?

It's to the left of the oil filter when your looking up at it from the ground. I changed mine to Mobil1 when the odometer turned 500 miles.

Thanks for the replies. I'm assuming it's the bolt at an angle. I heard it's a good idea to change the oil around the first 500 mile mark to get rid of any casting sand and metal flashing after the rings get seated. That made sense to me.
