So, with your help I was able to find an intake for my G6 GTP. It fits like a glove and sounds awesome. I also had the exhaust system replaced about 3 days after i bought the car. Well only from the flex pipe back. I originally just had a Flowmaster muffler put on, then 2 days later I decided the resonator was to big and restrictive. I had it taken off and had a straight pipe put on. Of course it sounded extremely raspy. So Hugh at Awesome Muffler in Kingsland, Ga suggested a turbo tube. He took the straight pipe back off and installed the turbo tube. It sounds amazing. Everyone says it sounds good but doesnt go right with the car. I say nay! I definitely wasnt going for the ricer sound. The car idles like a muscle car just not as loud. I have definitely gotten more power and acceleration from all of this. Anyone else with a G6 coupe get compliments everyday? The other day a dude in a Stingray said he liked my car. I gotta say it feels good. Next thing I wanna do is lower the car, since they do sit up a little high and you can feel the body roll. Anyone have any good leads on Eibach lowering springs?

any way we can get a sound clip or youtube video? I would like to hear some before hacking away at my flawless factory exhaust..:)

Thats awesome! Yes we need to see some pics!!! I understand the feeling of those compliments! My exhaust at idle sounds like its all cammed up and ready to rip by some ricers! Gotta love that 3.9!

I also agree to loud. I might go with a magnaflow muffler, but what do you guys suggest for the resonator leave it or put something in its place????

Like I noted on youtube, the camera distorts the sound for some reason and amplifies it and makes it all raspy, when its actually deeper like a mustang. Trust me, it sounds much better in person. Everyone who has heard it in person says it sounds good. Yes Cal, my GT badge is incorrect. Where can I find a GTP badge? Hey lcplmouw, I think you should replace the resonator with something else. After replacing my stock muffler and resonator with something more high flow, it performs much better. Thanks everyone for the feedback.

That sux, I always like looking at exhaust pics to see what other people are doing to their G6! Especially the custom ones! And GMpartsdirect does have the GTP namebadge for a little under $16, incase you want to do something about your GT badging.
