Here you go...this one took some time...but I think it turned out ok...Black is one of the hardest colors to change a car to.

Not really interested in a convertible but a 'coupe' would be nice!!

I didn't care much for the look of the drop-top from the pics. I dunno, but I'm a fan of basket-handle convertables.

99grandamse
10-28-2004, 02:17 PM
Yeah? if I was gonna have a convertible, I would prefer a complete open top :)

sunrunner_pei
10-28-2004, 02:23 PM
The car is just too big to be a full open convertable, IMO.

99grandamse
10-28-2004, 02:24 PM
... an opinion I guess but it is extremely small compared to some of the 60's vintage convertibles LOL

sunrunner_pei
10-28-2004, 02:29 PM
Yeah, but they at least had 'class'. :) More so than any car on the road today.

99grandamse
10-28-2004, 02:34 PM
... on that we agree :) ... hell of a lot more chrome too ;)

sunrunner_pei

Well I took the time to scan the picture in from the book...click on the thumbnail...56k beware

Yeah the older cars did have alot of class and the styling ROCKED!!! I still think we should give it up to "some" of todays cars though...they have good looks, they are lighter and faster (apples to apples), they handle better and are technically safer. Besides the car companies are making some of the newer cars have the look and apeal of some of the older cars (i.e. new Mustang). Don't get me wrong I still think the cars of "yesteryear" are AWSOME! and if you were lucky enough to live during that period of time I am green with envy...since I didn't...but I can enjoy the seemingly new "Muscle War" that has aparently started...thx :D

I dunno... I'll have to give the convertable a closer look when it's released next year. I love open-roof cars. Always have. :) I can just imagine the sticker price though! :(

99grandamse
10-29-2004, 01:44 PM
Hmmm :)

99grandamse
10-29-2004, 01:45 PM
... and I agree, I bte the pricing will be more than I want to pay ... then again, seems like every new car is getting more than I want to pay :( LOL

Cars cost more and more and the big three ask for more and more consesions from Tier one suppliers like mine...one day "American" cars may be built elsewhere due to supliers going out of buisness and cheaper labor cost's over seas or across borders. You know what else strikes me as irony is that more and more Japanese auto makers are having thier cars built here in the US...hmmm...one day it may be the Japanese companies who are providing Americans with jobs...another 2 cents spent...lol
