Hey I have been looking for a good tune. I found both vector motorsports and white auto. When I asked the white auto guy questions about the product he is trying to sell, he got really mad. So anyway I decided to check out vector.
I found out that you dont need to buy a new ecm (core exchange) which would require a crank relearn which can be done by someone with a dash hawk (which no one does have one within hundreds of miles of where I live.)
So anyway I found out that you could send in the ecm that is in your car (yes the stock one! :) ) and they could tune it for you for the same price, which would perform just as well and then you would not have to get a crank relearn done.

To bad thats just a generic tune

Go HERE (http://www.dynojet.com/dyno_centers/list_automotive.aspx)put in your zip, find your nearest speed shop, take your car in, have them dyno tune it, be happy.
expect between 300-700$ considered experts will usually charge the most

I got really mad? Huh? Might want to do some research on those on G6Performance ;) Or you could just read what pooners said here since he said it so well ;)

You can send us your stock one as well, I've tuned HUNDREDS of G6's that way.

Yeah Yeah i know quick save, but seriously i didn't copy and paste the right thing. Obviously I wouldn't openly trash someone. So once again, sorry chris, and yeah pooners, I seriously copied and pasted the wrong thing, nothing against chris, I hope chris will do a tune for me sometime in the future so this spring I am rocking a sweeeet car!:D:D

Guys, I have a 2008 base 2.4L and just hate the low-end response and acceleration. I know, I know... I should've gotten a V6...

I'm not a race guy, but I would like some better "pep" out of the car on the highways.

Would I benefit from a WAMS or Vector ECM/TCM tune?

(and is it really just an ECM tune? Don't you need to plug the car in for a TCM tune?)

Thanks!

You'd definitely benefit from one of our tunes, you dont need to plug into the car for the TCM tune either :) PM me if you'd like more info, I actually have a one unit deal on an 08-09 2.4L as someone ordered it then didnt pay.

Hey Chris...Quick question...I am a newbie so I gots to ask.. what exactly does ecm and tcm stand for and you can tune both?? What are they and how do they differ? GAHHH I wish I was smarter about such things!!!:D

ECM is the engine controller and TCM is the transmission controller and yes we tune both :)

so I know what happens when i get an engine controller tune, but what is the deal with the tcm tune? It'll shift differently but how and will i get better or worse mpg and how much more power and torque if i get both ecm and tcm tune?

It will shift firmer, quicker and crisper ;) You wont get worse MPG you'll get better (typically by 1-2mpg). HP/TQ gains depend on which engine you have :)

The other one got lonely and the GTO is stock because its special and worth more money that way ;) and yes I've heard of Pedders, I'm putting a full XA/Track system on two 2010 Camaros right now and Pete is about 20 feet from my desk LOL

So Chris how much would it cost to get both my ecm and tcm tuned? And when I want it done, what do I do? Just contact you and ship them both over?
