I have a stock 08 G6 GT 3.5L
would the available 05-07 k&n typhoon kit fit my car?
if not then what intakes would fit.

also i was thinking about an exhaust.
what is the cheapest way to put a dual on my car.
but also not sacrificing power gain.

and last but not least.
what do you all think about E3's & MSD Cable swaps?

the typhoon will fit...Lampoon on here sells his own intake that is pretty much the same, but for cheaper

the gxp has dual exhaust...so yes, you can do dual exhaust and still get gains from it

IDK about if spark plugs would give you more power, but the cables might get you a few hp

look at a few videos of the GT-R exhaust before you buy it...i think its too loud and sounds like crap...that's just my opinion though

i think he was looking for the cheapest way to get his exhaust done lol not drop $600 on it.... heres what i did. i went on craigslist and got an 80 series flowmaster muffler for 40 bucks. then i took it to an exhaust shop and he gave me these prices: 60 to install the muffler which would give the "dual exhaust apperance" and another 30 to remove the resinator and replace that with straight pipe. so youre lookin at about 125-150 for the exhaust. hopefully that helps... and i have the e3 and msd combo. idk which did it or if it was a combo of the both but i def gained power from it. it was well worth the money. and for your intake if you want the typhoon, go for it. what i did for my intake was i removed the stock intake pipe and took that to an exhaust shop and had them bend 3 inch pipe to match, they charged me 30 for that. then i went and bought couplers and an aftermarket air filter and put it on. all in all i think it cost a little over a hundred. thats how i did my stuff bc im a full time med student. i never have much money lol my spark plugs and wires were a gift from the gf haha but that was my route to save a dollar or two. hope it helps

I really like your idea for the intake pipe! so 3inch obviously fits on to the MAF sensor right? Do you have any pictures of it??

AAAHHHH!!!!111! Do not use E3's EVERYONE I know that has used them in their G6 said it made their car run like 5H!T

In the case of the Intake, I would go the route of Lampoon's CRABs. He has the #1 Intake for our cars.

I agree with Mark.....http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk64/crabintakes/emoticon/hihi-1.gif

And the MAF is bigger than 3". Measure it. Depending on the year they can vary in size.
Yours is probably 3.25".

I was looking at Crabs and was actually talking to you about it last night over email, just trying to get the duty charges figured out.

The GXP has a "dual outlet" It is not a dual exhuast system.

I know swapping out the exhaust can have effects on the low end power output, does the GT-R have that affect at all?

Lampoon, could you give me an estimate on an intake and crab box? I am pricing out what I want and I eventually plan on getting the MPD hood, just a matter of waiting for the funds to come in.

That was my big concern and why I didn't get an exhaust system initially (this bad boy needs all the torque it can get!), but after looking into it the GT-R has a special setup that retains low end grunt AND gives an extra kick up top

Mind you, I just placed my order with them so I can't confirm this first-hand (yet!), but from all the testimonials I've read it's merely a case of "Hear me now and believe me later!"

And I'm sure GT-R can chime in with the specifics of how it's done :blah:
