Anyone know a good stereo to replace the monsoon in an 06. I just want to be able to plug in my mp3 and well as play CDs.

Replace it with an 08 G6 stereo out of a wrecked one. That's probably the cheapest way, just have to get it programmed with your VIN by the dealer.

Quick hijack do you seriously have 50% tint or is that 30%?

My dealer says they can't put an 08 monsoon in an 06 moonsoon system because the codes r different and the harness is different. They told me it wasn't possible ......

They lied. most just dont know they can.
I can educate you so that you can educate them....
Ask them if you show them how to do it would they give you free tech2 time? lol

I have 50 all around. Legal here is 50/30 but that would look ghetto. It may look darker because it was a cloudy day. I have some other pictures of the tint job on the site SOMEwhere.

Ok lampoon. I'm gonna see another gm dealership. But they told me the harness was different and that posed an issue as well

Man I hate that Pontiac dealership. They told me the harness was an issue as well. Lampoon just open up a Pontiac dealership and I'll take my car there :). So how would I train my local dealership on programming another car's monsoon to replace my monsoon? Because a guy on here has one and I want it

GM dealers outsource stereo work to another company, which comes into the dealer to work on the product. I know that's for warranty work, so perhaps the techs were just too lazy to actually LOOK for themselves, they more than likely just phoned this other company and they said it wasn't possible just to get the GM guy off the phone. Bad information spreads real easy these days. Even at $100+/hr labour, you'd think they'd at least tell you that they can try.

Its easy with a Tech2.....if your still under warranty you can swap them out yourself,
then take it to them for programming. The Tech2 is menu driven. They cant screw it up. If you need the how to let me know.

No clue what a tech 2 is and I would love to know how. Unfortunatly th next cleat Pontiac dealer is 30 minutes away But I would love some education to pass to these fools. And I'm not in my warranty
