Not sure if this is the correct forum or not.

I just got a recall notice in the mail stating "We recieved reports that the sun visor mirror cover may seperate from the mirror." Interesting, mine broke the 3rd day I had it. :D Apparently I wasn't the only one.

The letter states that they are working with their supplier to obtain a redesigned replacement and will send another letter when it's available.

Anyone else get one of these?

What a stupid recall.

I mean, things like that shouldn't be a problem in the first place. Geez.

At least it's nothing severe.

I got the same recall yesterday.

I got it too, and it happened to me the 2nd week I had my car.

Well, we know at least one place where GM cheapened out the car for 2006.

Two days after purchasing the car I noticed both visors were damaged or improperly assembled. Mirror covers on both were snapped off and lights not working as the contacts didn't make contact when opened. Took the car back to the dealership so they could see for themselves and they are ordering replacements...free of charge of course :)

I know that a vehicle contains thousands of parts and most of them are made at different locations but who ever was doing quality control that day must have been sleeping. Looks like a batch of bad G6 visors got sent out and installed!

nothing yet in Canada at least!

I'm from Toronto Canada so it appears that the visor problem isn't in any specific area.
