i just did my own oil change yesterday..and now my check engine light is on. I switched to pennzoil 5w-20 full synthetic oil from the stock oil. Is this normal?

maybe its because the different viscosities or however you spell it. idk about you but i believe my engine asks for 5w-30 dont know if the numbers really make a difference but thats my solution.

I wouldnt think that it would make enough of a difference to make an engine light come on..get a code reader for obdII or you can go to autozone I think they'll check it for free.
