Hello all,

I need some help here!

I have a 2007 G6 4-cyl where the blower motor works intermittently. When I say that I mean when I start the car up it does not work; after about 10 minutes or so it WILL kick on.

The first few times it happened I checked the fuses, reinstalled them (they were fine) and it took right off after that.

All fan speed settings work when the blower kicks on, so I'm pretty sure the problem is NOT in the resisitor pack.

I probably should mention that once it comes on, it stays on. Park it at the gas station and it won't work when I start it back up.

Do you think the problem is the blower motor itself? Or is it a bad relay?

Thanks in advance for any advice you could give me.

A faulty relay is a good possibility. However, I wouldn't rule out the resistor pack either. I generally run the windows down as much as I can and leave the fan off, and I've never had any problems with anything for any vehicle I've owned. For anything like that to go on a 2007 model would make me a bit leery, especially if you have low miles.

I've never oHm'd out a relay, but I would guess that it could be possible even with no load going through it? A new resistor pack is about $20-30, so if anything I'd replace that just to rule it out.
