every time i push down on the top part of the hood (driver side), there is this weird cracking sound. I thought it might have been the struts. i just got back from the dealer, and he said i have to replace my control arm, which was approximately 500$ for the driver control arm. is this the part i am looking for?

yes it is. i don't want to say that's what you need cause i haven't heard the noise. that is the contol arm though and it comes with ball joint, bushings. not hard to do if you have some knowledge and the right tools. don't pay 500 please. wish you were around here. my bro has a shop. we'd charge about $250 for parts and labour, and then an alignment. did their price include alignment as well?

i also need a control arm replaced i found one (passenger side) online for as low as 115 now i just gotta find a place to get it done. my auto body shop wanted about 75 for labor and 60 for an alignment so i guess i can live with that

Thats a good price there. $500 is way too much, those control arms are not hard to change at all. They are not like the older cars.
