: Window deflectors

Two weeks ago, I ordered window deflectors for my G6 (through Pep Boys) and installed them myself last week... I have to say, it looks really nice and some what intimidating. lol. I'll have to snap some pics of it and show everyone, but has anyone else looked into it? I thought it looked odd when I saw it on Pontiac's website and saw a silver G6 with them a while back (didn't look right with the silver G6). But I think they look fine on mine...

Take them off, those things are tacky and about as useless as a pile of dog crap. :D

Actually, I'm finding out now that dog crap serves a very good purpose....it keeps idiot neighbors out of my yard, and seems to be repelling cats as well :D

I wouldn't call them useless, but they are tacky IMHO. But to-each-their-own. To me, they are so early 90s. My first thought when I see them is that inside sits a 50 year old man smoking a pipe.

Young people that put them on their car are subsequently on the verge of rice-dom.

I would like to see a picture before I make a rude comment about somebody's car.

I think we are all replying to his question above: "I'll have to snap some pics of it and show everyone, but has anyone else looked into it?"

I believe that was a request for comment. So I gave why I haven't looked into it.

Pics would be nice, it could look good with a black g6 though. I had them on my 91 cougar and it was a nice feature....to have the windows down without the rain coming in (cause the a/c didn't work).

I've had them on all of my cars. I don't have them on the G6 yet and haven't looked into it, but I'm sure I will if I have to keep the car. It's nice to have them when it's raining!! :p

hey, i'm offended by that!!! i have them on MY car and, just as was previously proven about dog crap, they do serve a usefull purpose. i can put the window down a couple of inches (not sure what that works out to for our neighbors in Canada) and allow semi-fresh air to come in while its raining outside. also, they greatly reduce the amount of 'buffeting' one experiences when the rear windows are down all the way.

but the main reason that i am offended is that while it is true i am 50, i DO NOT SMOKE!!!

Does anyone have side window deflectors for a coupe?
I'm pretty sure I've seen pictures of coupes with side window deflectors.

How do the windows clear the visor when opening and closing the doors?

Is there some sort of indexing feature for the auto rolldown/door open feature on the coupe windows?
