I've never had a car with leather interior, and just replaced the stock seats with a leather set from another G. They are still in like new condition - no wrinkles, cracks or tears, but look like they could use a little cleaning.

What's the best stuff to use, and without any harmful short or longterm effects?

To keep them looking their best without having to dress them up to impress (as most people seem to think one has to do), use a damp cloth to dust & dry using a clean cloth. If you encounter any stains, use saddle soap & a dry cloth. None of these expensive brands (armour-all, etc...). Just the basics. :D

I like Meguiar's Gold Class foaming leather cleaner. It smells nice and actually cleans. I was surprised how much dirt came off my seats even though they were only 3 months old. You can control how shiney it looks by how much you wipe off. Good stuff.

10 year old leather seats still looked good using that stuff. :)

Really... I just pulled that out of the ol' "noggin", but it's good to know that someone agrees with my old school thinking. :eek:

Zaino makes some good leather cleaner/conditioner. Their Leather in a Bottle product smells just like it says. I love the stuff.
