Anyone know of any problems with rims cracking? Just curious.
I was informed today that you can't use a standard tire machine to remove the tires from our rims due to the offset of the rim. They don't fit on the machine properly and it can cause damage. The big dent in my rim on the side matched the machine perfectly when I was getting my tire put on the rim today. So basically the rim was already cracked from something else. Just wondering if these rims have any problems or if any rim will suffer this issue in cold enough weather? Not sure whats going on.. but in order to get the rim replaced from the dealer I need to prove the first place that removed my tire caused the damage (tough to do and they will not admit it) and that the rim was cracked before the machine damaged it (yet again..tough to do)...
Just FYI for anyone who gets a flat.. don't bother with your local tire shop because if they don't know what they are doing..you will be buying yourself a rim.
