I don't know if any of you guys play video games here, but I'm in the middle of playing Resident Evil 4 for the PS2, and I must say that it exceeded my expectations. Ever since hearing that there are no zombies in this installment of the series, I had my doubts and thought the game had strayed from its roots. I was so wrong!

There may be no zombies, but the villagers you fight in the game are even scarier! They yell in Spanish when they see you, and it's just eerie. The graphics are amazing, although not as good as the Gamecube version, but who cares. The gameplay is awesome, it's fun, and the fact that you have a laser light on your guns now is cool. Now you can aim at different parts of the enemy and shoot them, which comes in handy. If you're on a bridge, for example, you can shoot their legs or feet and they fall off the bridge! Or if they're holding a weapon you can shoot their arm and they'll drop it. Very cool. The other monsters in the game are unique too.

I must say that the game was difficult at first, and the villagers seem VERY smart. They'll chase you (yes they run too), climb through windows, up ladders, open doors, jump down ledges, and even toss dynamite and axes. The chainsaw guys are the best though!

Overall, this game has that 'resident evil' feel to it even though there are no zombies. Capcom did a great job with this one.

Well I just beat it today. What a long game! It felt like it was never-ending. I think I logged in around 16 hours 45 minutes of play, which is pretty long for a Resident Evil game. I think the first game was beatable in around 4 hours. Now I have all the unlockable goodies and hidden games to play!

Sorry.. don't own a PS2.. (graphics being worse than the gamecube is probably a large reason why)... I have played some of the older RE titles..I love the series..like the movies. I might have to check this game out though. :) Sounds like a good one.

Resident Evil 4 was by far, next to the Silent Hill series, the most psychologically damaging game I've ever played.

I played and beat the GameCube version, and was just...scared shitless the entire time I played. I was nervous about the lack of zombies, but in many cases, the villagers and Los Plagos were even creepier.

The scene that potentially damaged me the most was when you ran into the house with Luis, and the villagers surrounded it, and you had to cover the windows and doors with the bookshelevs, and eventually go upstairs, because they were climbing in through the upstairs window.

It was the most realistic game I've ever played, and it was a huge advancement over previous resident evil titles. The only scarier thing I can remember were the Crimson heads from the first one, the remake that is.

I am a wimp when it comes to these things, but I dunno, this game scared me to death.
