I just bought a crab fpu and it didnt come with a heatshield and im looking for a used one 100 bucks new seems too high to me

I'm on the same hunt - been looking around for a few things but simply amazed at how much ppl are charging!! I think the crabs CAB is 85 bucks before shipping and paypal fees (105 after) and most the others Injen, K&N etc are included with the filter.
I have seen builds using rubbermade trashcans you cut up (about an inch or so thick) and then cover it with thermal sheeting/spray - F150's forum had like 8 or 10 builds and people screamed about how nice they are. Its about the same size as the other heat shields (plastic about an inch or so thick) just needs some cosmetic and rubber to keep it from rubbing - costs like 4 bucks plus a few hours of cutting and fitting.
I have also seen some builds where they used cardboard and a marker to 'draw' the size then transferred the cutout to sheet metal and again, thermal spray and then sheeting this costs about 15-25 bucks and another few hours to do.

Please let me know if you find anything, if not - by the time the weather starts to get a bit warmer I am going to spend the time and build one for myself and then cookie-cutter it out and will let you know.
