Hello fellow brothers and sisters..im ready to buy headlights and tailights for my car but idk if i should go with black or chrome? sypder vs eagle eyes? prices? i need help if u can.at first i was sure on getting chrome for both but idk now.the black looks good but idk how it would blend with my car..help plz and thx

eagle eye FTW...dont you dare buy the spyder(i personally never had spyder but i read they were the biggest piece of sht)...i would go black housing IMO i think the black with all the white halos and leds is a win...you know what they say "opposites attract" and let me tell you they sure do on the eagle eye heads...tails im sry idk much about the coupes...but if you get black headlights (or chrome) make sure you get the tails the same housing that would just look weird if you got different housing on heads and tails

i think the big stock headlights are chome and stick out like bug eyes on most g6's

BLACK BLACK BLACK...im tellin ya man you will not be disapointed with the black ones...me and dav are together on this 1 the black housing with the white halos and leds is awesome looking...it just POPS more than the chrome housing i beleive

well i have been tallying votes and right now its 5 black to 2 chrome..pretty sure im going black lol the chrome ones look nice and bring out the rims more but they have a bit of a stock look to em.u wouldnt notice unless u really were looking at em compared to the black which really stands out :banana:

i would say go 35w ballast with a 8k if your looking for a hint of blue, 6k is for the most part is pure white...10k is what i got and its SUPER DARK BLUE...so if you want a hint of blue i say 8k

the ddmtuning hid kit comes with your choice of 1 ballast and 1 bulb...its a whole kit...all you have to do is choose what size ballast you want 35 or 55w and then choose what color you want for your bulbs which is sounds like you want 8k then all you have to do is pay and enjoy...nothing else is needed

from what im reading 8000k w/ 35 watt and 6000k w/ 55 watt pretty much give out the same output.i just cant find where u to em

nope just the opposite the difference between the 35w and 55w ballast is the 55w is more powerful or however you wanna call it...since you want a hint of blue you would go with 35w 8k or if you want it to be brighter yet get the 55w with a 10k bulb....i actually had a 55w with a 10k and it is light blue kinda...its super bright

them headlights look fine..and if you want it to be bright you want 55w 10k now yes this is blue if you have the 35w ballast but if your going to get the 55w ballast it will be just what you want beleive me i bought a 55w ballast first with the 10k first then it wasnt blue enough for me so then i bought a 12k bulb and it was alittle bluer...then when i got the eagle eye headlights i got a 35w ballast with 10k and there SUPER BLUE...and you need to do IF you get those headlights is go to ddmtuning.com select the 55w ballast and choose 10k bulb it will be a H7 bulb for low beam...you dont need anything else...now remember the stock headlights and the aftermarket headlights take different bulb sizes the stock take H11 low beam

and noooooooo dont trust ppl from ebay with hid(dont anyone get me wrong about the hids on ebay im just saying) ik exactly what you want...ddmtunings hids are CHEAP!!! and they are VERY good...trust me man 55w ballast with 10k bulb you will LOVE IT

2. at the top it says catalog scroll over that and it will pull a bar down with options
3. scroll over hid and lighting
4. click on hid kits
now since i have done this step by step i now see why you couldnt figure this out...there outta hid kits after step 4 there should of been either a raptor kit or a hid slim kit but they must be out right now you can call them and see when there going to get more

thank you...i have had my 6 for about 1 1/2 months now since the beginning of january...i spent WAY WAY to much on it but it looks ok, im not even close to being done with it yet lol...and yes the turn signal bulbs are the exact same...i didnt buy the steath bulbs they are kinda rediculous in price..just 2 for 25$ is kinda steep you can do what i did...i went to autozone here in town and got some silvania silverstar bulbs for 10$ there a light blue bulb so you cant see the amber color when its not on...and when it is on the bulb is more of a yellow color(kinda) its not a dark amber by any means...i got them in the reverse and the turn signal so they would match there the same bulb..and congrats on getting the eagle eye heads there AMAZING i get soooooo many complements they are very cool looking :)

Spyder Halo's They are truly a shit ... I have them and if they didn't send me two pairs on accident after they sent me a cracked one the first time then sent another set with nothing to return the first with. I would have drove from Mi to CA and kicked someones ass!! total shit in order to fix a halo on my normal light that the wires came unhooked from (out of no where), I unhooked the other one so I dont look like a RA TARD and then the male connector to plug the damn dr side light in took a shit.. oh yeah and then the damn condensation .. the funniest part of the whole deal.. I took one of the lil rubber tops off that cover the back of the bulb (on the one I didnt have to fix the crack on)and left it on the battery cover by accident then drove for like two days and noticed the condensation was gone thats when I found it.. so yeap u guessed it .. I took off the other one on the passenger side light so I dont look like a RA TARD .. I mean seriously.. W T F ... what a joke..Seriously I am not jokin either if I didnt have that other pair I think I would have drove there.. Condensation is a understatement it was like a river in the damn thing.. Heard the new ones that came out have the same problem up in the north.. I don't get it .. if GM, Ford, Chrysler and 100 other companies can make a product that doesn't have condensation why halo's? is it the heat? I even brought them back inside till it was gone resealed everything they supposedly did and still got it..

they r 2 different brands

those are not 2 diff brands.

there are only 2 options for aftermarket headlights, and tails

headlights - spyder aka shit, or eagle eyes

tails - ALTEZZA...both of those are altezza....and then you have led options and im unsure who makes those

yes ait makes 1 im not sure what size your fogs are on your 6..(mine dont have fogs)...but yes they do make them...im sure other companys make halo fogs also i have never looked but im positive someone has fogs the size you need

if your putting them in your fogs stick with 35w or you'll melt the housing.

ive got 35w 5k and they are plenty bright.

the 55w isnt to bright...i mean it is ALOT brighter than the 35w ballast but it all depends on what you want...i didnt like it cause i wanted a DEEP blue and with the 55w ballast you cant achive a super dark color not even with 12k which is supposed to be PURPLE...it all depends on what you want if you want more color then 35w ballat, if you want brightness then 55w...and no none of the other accessories are needed to make these work

o shit i forgot to ask how blue do you want your lights??? cause if your going with 55w ballast you will wanna get a 10k most likely...beleive me the pics they show on the website are NOT right with the 55w ballast...i first ordered the 55w balast with a 10k and it wasnt blue enough for me then i stepped it up to a 12k bulb(with the 35w balllast 12k is super purple) and it STILL wasnt blue enough so i finally got a 35w ballast with a 10k and there SUPER blue now

btw again(god sry i keep forgetting things) if your sticking these in the eagle eye heads remember that the lows have a projector in them...so even with the 35w ballast it amplifies the light like no other...its just like sticking a magnifiying glass in front of a bright ass bulb...i dont think your gonna wanna get a 55w ballast but thats just me a 35w ballast is gonna be bright trust me

just ordered them..now whats the ease of installation.for the head lights and hids.i seen lampoon had to do some drilling to get the headlights to fit right.anybody else have the same problem?

NICE CHOICE if you dont like the 35w 8k you can blame me but ik this is exactly what you want, i spent ALOT of extra money that i didnt need to spend if i would of known the difference in the ballast size and bulb wattage...

ok as for the install, the headlights are a STRAIGHT plug and play literally my 11month old son could do it, you take your stock headlight out and there is 1 plug from the car to the headlight just unplug it and plug the eagle eye head in(that simple)...as for drilling the holes YES it is needed for HIDS...i didnt do this at first cause when i installed my headlights and hids i didnt aim them at that time, well like 2 weeks later i went to aim them and that piece of medal that lampoon has a pic of hits the metal on the car so i had to drill it out, its not a big deal beleive me, just drill the hole and you will save yourself alot of trouble from taking your headlights out twice to find out that the drilling is NEEDED

as for the hid kit its pretty self explanitor when you get your headlight, find the low beam dust cover on the back of the headlight turn it and take it off, you will need to drill a 7/8 inch hole in the center of it for the bulb and wires to fit thru, on the bulb wires there is a rubber grommet thingy that fits into the hole that you made in the dust cover to prevent anything from getting inside your lights...mount your ballast anywhere you can find i just have mine sitting in holes under the headlight lol... but you can mount it litterally anwhere you wanna pretty much...now plug the bulb wires into the ballst, our cars have REVERSE POLARITY and what this means is that if you have everything hooked up right and you turn your lights on and nothing happens that means that you need to take the big cable that is running from the ballast to the bulb and unclick it and just turn it the other way (180 degress) and plug it in that way...ik this all sounds confusing but when you get the parts you will understand what im saying...if you dont understand all this let me know and ill go into more detail...sry this is so long

lol you wont have any problems man the only thing you MIGHT have a problem with is taking out the stock headlights THEY ARE A PAIN IN THE FCKING ASS!!!! well at least it was for me i couldnt get mine out by myself i had to have a buddy help me and we both pulled on the headlight till finally it snapped out lol you will be VERY suprised how much force you gotta apply to get it out

installation wasnt really that hard..i had to put some muscle into iit and i broke the little piece by the turn signal..on both lol but idc..so far i love them..already getting compliments :D seems like they dont project very far and NO.. MY DAMN HIDS ARENT IN lol i was gonna wait to put em in but today was too nice.i had to do it

i personally have never had water in mine i have had some condensation on the lenses when it gets like 10 degrees outside (i dont have a garage to stick it in) but other than that i dont get any water and i go to the car wash like 3 times a week

Just wanted to give you guys a shout out and thank you ... this thread gave me all the information I needed to go out and get Eagle Eye halo's then install HID 8000k lights from ddmtuning in them.

One thing I will mention for those who may do this in the future. I found that drilling a 7/8 inch hole in the dust cover of the headlight is not large enough to fit the wiring assembly through it. I used a ddmtuning HID 8000k slim kit. The hole needs to be about 1 inch in diameter.
