I notice when I start my G6 GT in cold weather it revs at about 1500 then dies down as the engine warms up. I know engines are supposed to rev a little higher when cold to facilitate warmup but I was just wondering if this was a normal cold weather rev number?

I live in Western NY where its been insainly cold at times (single digits) and when I let mine sit for a long period of time than start it up.. the RPM's are at about 1500 for a lil wihle then die down.. so I'd say yes thats normal

very normal, especially in the winter.
