I am trying to install a Pioneer P2300dvd unit. I bought a standard wiring harness because I: 1-am too broke to afford the expessive harness 2-don't really care to have to DIC controls or other things.. After installing the unit, powering it on causes all the gauges to die out and there is no sound output.. HELP.. What did I do wrong??? I am not an expert with car audio installation, but even all the people I know who are pretty good with car audio still do not know what to tell me. Does someone have a wiring diagram or can explain where I went wrong with my unit installation.....????? I changed the fuel to make sure it wasn't bad, pulled the plugs and they look good, checked connectios under hood and checked fuel pressure steady at 60 psi even when loosing power above 3800 rpm. Only logs code P0300 mult misfire if I keep it above 4000 rpm for more than a few seconds. The alternator went on my G6 GTP 2006 so no problem I have the extended warranty it gets to the dealer ship I have to pay for the battery and the alt is covered. NP right< not so much!! we don't have the part. Not in Canada or the USA. I can get one in 2 days but not a GM part which it has to be.
Now do all parts under warranty have to be GM parts????? and do they still make them for a Pontiac. So I have payed for the warranty What is it worth
