You might have to pull really hard to get it out. There is a plastic clip that holds onto a metal ball on the back of the headlight. You would be surprised how hard you will have to pull to get that thing out. After I was done I just unscrewed it and did away with it so I would never have to deal with it again.

Unbolt all the bolts holding the headlight assembly in.

Get the light out of behind the bumper cover.

Pull like hell and it will pop out. Be sure to yank forward and not side to side or you might do some damage. Once its out unhook it.

Then put it on the same way you took it off. Its a pain in the ass the first time. Once you pull it out the next time will be 100x easier.

I just wanted to add the proper way to remove the headlight is to take of the bumper as per the shop manual..... but the pull and tug way works too. if you have fog lights you might have to do it for a bulb/hid swap

When i removed my left headlight to build that "g6 tiger grab",

http://www.g6performance.com/phpBB3/...00122c8f4d39ad

the fog light was easliy accessable. It was just below the headlight. BUT i havent attempted to play around with it yet, but when my HIDs kits come in i'll be having the time of my life! I hate working with those headlights=pain in the ass.

Nope didnt happen to me, i use a bra anyways and the lower cover below the grill is cracked too (which is why i use a bra). I didnt notice it til a couple weeks after i bought the car which pissed me off to no end. I thought i checked out the entire car but its kinda hiden under there.

I like the bra myself so until i have 700 bucks to replace the cover the bra stays.

Yeah! Always gets the job done in the end! Now you just need the sledge hammer, duck tape, and you have the whole set!

I just had to replace the low beam on my driver's side and I have to admit, at first I was a bit discouraged. But, with a bit of brute strength and finesse I finally managed to pop the headlight out. Once you manauver around the bumper you just gotta pull straight back, really f'n hard lol. From there, its almost a joke how easy it is to replace the bulb.

Thanks for the help guys.

Hey everyone, Im new here as you can tell, after reading through this thread i feel a bit more confidence in removing the headlights knowing i wasn't the only one with trouble. Is it possible to access the fog lights through the headlights after they are removed? I recently bought an 08 and would like to change the factory bulbs to better NOKYA's. I am going to install yellow fogs into the fog light housing.
