Aftermarket Radio

I just got a 2010 G6 and I'm looking to put in some subs and I want to go with the aftermarket head unit and I've heard lots of rumors that there is an anti theft device and you can't take the radio out. Please help!!

Mine has the one knob in the middle.....does it make it harder to get out? ( I am about to replace my stereo too!)

just do a little searching on the forum......but just to say, removing your stereo will not do anything with the car security system..It's only for the radio it's self

Pretty much my question was will the Metra dash kit work for my 10 model with the knob in the middle or will I have to do something different?

Edit: I don't care about onestar or the steering wheel controls, but would like to keep the warning chimes

So correct me if I'm wrong please. All I need is this

1. Metra 99-3302
2. Metra 40GM-10
3. Metra 70-1858 (Not quite sure if this works on the 10 models)

70-2103 not 1858, but you will have to run a wire for "keyed" power

The car doesn't supply a turn on wire. The factory stereo is controlled by the computer.. with the cheap.harness you have to run a wire to the fuse panel and tap into a fuse that gets powered up when the car turns on
