Angry Flashing Engine Light: Fuel Injector?

I have an 06 coupe. Just recently had a body kit put on it, got it back from the shop and my check engine light was on. It flashes when I give the car gas. The mechanics at the shop powerwashed underneath my hood so I'm thinking that has something to do with it. We took it to Auto Zone and had them hook it up to the computer and they said it was the 6th cylinder fuel injector. That was replaced and the problem still isn't fixed. Any ideas?

Pull the spark plug for the cylinder, Make sure it's clean, and make sure the connections for the wire from plug to coil are clean too. Maybe it got knocked loose or has a little corrosion in there.

While your at it, might as well check all the wires at the plugs and at the coils.

Take it back to the idiots who power washed the engine and say fix it and give me a rental! You should NEVER EVER power wash the engine, just asking for problems like this! What were the codes that they pulled?

WTF powerwash the engine? There is no point. The dirt and grime doesn't look good, but it's not affecting the operation. Why did they do that? If you didn't authorize it, then I would complain because that is just asking for trouble.

Power wash and electrical don't go good together.

I realize I came late to the party, but here's my 2 cents:

Giving us the exact code would be best for us to advise you. Assuming it was a p0206, the harness connector on injector 6 may just have standing water in it. It's much more likely the problem is with the wiring harness than with the injector, given the powerwashing. I assume you cleared the code, otherwise it takes four consecutive ignition cycles that the diagnostic runs and does not fail to self-clear.
