07 Vert rear defroster

I have had my rear defroster "fixed" 4 times in the last 2 years at the dealer. I have not even cleaned the window on the inside and it blew out again. Anyone having similar problems?

You can buy DIY defroster repair kits pretty inexpensively. If the window ever had a tint installed on it that can cause real issues with the grid's lifespan.

No, don't have tint. It is the individual lines that go out. I have an extended warranty (thank God) but why should they keep blowing out?

The lines are just silk-screened conductive paint. As the window ages & the glass expands & contracts with temperature changes very small cracks develop in the paint & electricity can't flow past the break in the line. Applying conductive paint across the break restores the current flow.
