frame damage to my car?

Hi, I got in alittle fender bender yesterday and I was wondering if by looking at the photos below if anyone can tell if the frame is damaged? My friend said the upper part above the wheel is part of the frame and clearly it has damage but I thought the frame is the lower part of the car?

Damage occured when a car ran a stop sign and the car infront of me crashed into it, I tried to avoid it so I sworved from the left hand lane to the right hand lane (both going northbound) and managed to sworve partially out of the way. Still got clipped.

Prob gonna be about $5,500+ in damage. Mine was $4,800, similar but on the other side. Needed New hood, New bumper, New headlight, new fender and new rim. Then labor and they needed to re-weld the support bar- It was a Merry Christmas to me thats for sure. $1000 deductible but my insurance took off $300 because of my custom headlight's I had- So all I had to pay was $700 and my car looks new on the front. Can't even tell, the shop I have here in town is really good and my insurance has a lifetime guarantee agreement on the work so if anything happens to the replaced parts- my insurance covers it. Love Liberty Mutual!

Interior- 4 pc 3 Million UFO LED kit add-on, ALL hyperwhite LED map, dome, and side markers,

Yeah I have Liberty mutual also, on my last totaled car which was a grand am (it happened a year and a week ago from this accident) I had another insurance company and the driver at fault had Liberty. I argued with my insurance company for months, literally months, and they only offered me $7,100. That was after talking with three managers (I got them from $6,700 to $7,100) and several months later I found out I can also have the at fault drivers insurance give me an aprasal (which was liberty). I had them do that and they gave me an out flat offer of $7,700. I took it and switched to them!

UPDATE- I just called the body shop and they said the insurance company (Liberty) went back to the shop to take another look at my car today and they deemed it fixable.

I only had it for three months, but I put lots of work into it fixing the small things it had wrong. So I am glad that its fixable.

If the suspension is undamaged then it would be fixable, but who knows the problems that could occur down the road.

yeah luckally with liberty mutual they have a lifetime repair guarentee that they will guarentee a repair for life (assuming no new damage occurs). My car had a clean carfax reccord so if I ever do have a problem atleast they cant say it was due to a prior accident. Sure it may not be a clear cut decision if I ever do have a problem but atleast that seems more honest then most insurance companys.

Also the hood did not pop open after the accident its partially open because they opened it at the auto body shop. They didnt close it all the way because the corner of the hood got clipped and it needs to be replaced so they didnt wanna slam the hood down since its bent.

Sounds like you are going to have to fight the insurance company if you run into the problem later regardless. They don't want to pay anymore than that have to if they can just say "oh, the suspension is like that because you hit a bump in the road, not because of the prior accident."

Yeah I know- not like I have a choice however.

They are a company, so obviously their goal is to make money. But for them to offer me about $600 more then my own insurance company offered me (on my prior accident as noted above - at that time I did not have them as my insurance it was the lady that hit me who had them) that says something about them regardless. I was expecting them to offer me much less then my own insurance company offered me- and they could have but they didnt. Also its not like they gave me a lowball figure and made me work for it to get a fair ammount (by arguing with managers) The first offer Liberty made was actually $1000 higher then my own insurance companys first offer (I had to argue with them for months and speek to a level 1 and 2 manager and they finally ended up offering me $7,100). After realizing I can have the lady at faults insurance do an aprasal (which was Liberty) I called them once or twice and within 3 days they sent me that $7,700 offer. No waiting, No managers, No games.

So does it suck- absolutley. But they are not nearly as bad as some of the other insurance companys out there. Atleast if I have an issue a year, two years, five years from now atleast I got a chance they will cover it. All I know is my old insurance wouldnt even waste the time to talk to me about a repair on something that was done a year (or longer) so for Liberty to even consitter a lifetime repair guarentee is just very honest in my opinion. More honest then any other insurance company I know of.
