Hard shifting diff problem code

Hello. I have a 06 pontiac g6 2.4 le5. recently its starting shifting real hard out of first into second and check enginr came on. We plugged it in came up cam position sensor #2. So i just replaced both sensors incase and we deleted and reset the computer. It came back within a half mile. Ive seen some people post on google its a catilatic converter issue but before trying that id ask if anyone has any ideas? Im trying to fix it without GM doing it. Ive kept excellent maintenance and have done all repairs immediately. Its at 75454 miles. Runs awesome except this so far. Please help!

If it is the converter you want to get in touch with GM because it would still be under the federal mandated 8yrs/80k miles warranty.

It ended up being the cat converter but there are other codes such as p0420 p0011 p0455 p0366 p0300 p0010. Is there a wesite that lets me put those in and tell me whats up? I want to do these repairs myself if possible.

After the convertor is replaced purge all the codes & see if any return. Report back with those that do.

The car has the new converter already, and those are the codes after we erased them all and reset everything with a computer.

here's that website:
http://www.obd-codes.com/

That's a lot of codes to pop all at once on a well-maintained engine. Were all these codes also popping before replacing the cat? If not, exactly which codes were pre-cat replacement?

How's it running now?

Since they are such a common problem on that engine & given the hard shifting symptom, I would not hesitate to recommend replacing the two camshaft position (CMP) actuator solenoids on top of the engine, next to the #1 spark plug, assuming they have not been replaced already. Simple to replace & not very expensive. If it were my engine, I'd start there, clear the codes again & see which ones return.

It actually runs really great. Just the shifting. Im thinking of replacing the cam actuator and see what happens. Seems like the next thing to do.

You can replace both in about 15 minutes. Engine oil on the o-ring before install & don't overtighten. Note the connectors are keyed so you can't reverse them. Couldn't be an easier repair & should help with your hard shifting complaint.

No. The camshaft actuator system is implemented differently on the LZ9 engine. Are you getting a code?
