Ignition Coil Question!

the 3.5 L GT has a single coil pack for the 6 wires. Is it possible for only one of the leads in the pack to go bad, or would the whole unit fail at once? Can a bad coil pack cause low compression in a cylinder? Thanks for any and all input!

There are just three coils in your coil pack. Cylinders fire simultaneously in pairs: 1&4, 2&5, 3&6. Thus a bad coil would affect both cylinders.
