Yet another window problem :)

Just wondering if anyone has any insight to this. When opening the drivers door from outside, the window rolls down a bit as normal, but then rolls up right away so you cannot properly close the door. Opening the door from the inside sometimes causes this problem but not all the time like the outside handle. The passenger door is fine, and I've even tried reprogramming the window (holding the switch up/down and such). Anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this? It's beginning to get annoying... Thanks!

PS its an 06 coupe

So just to be clear, you followed this procedure:

Service Information
2006 Pontiac G6 | G6 (VIN Z) Service Manual | Document ID: 1697502
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Power Window Reinitialization (Coupe/Convertible Only)
This feature automatically lowers the window a small amount when the door is opened. Then when the door is closed, the window will automatically raise. After a power reconnect, such as battery replacement, the indexing feature will not function until the system is initialized. This procedure needs to be done for each individual window.

Important: The folding top must be in the fully closed position before performing this procedure.

Once power is restored, do the following:

Close the door for the window being reinitialized.
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Hold the window switch up for two seconds after the window is closed, release the switch, then hold the switch up again for two seconds.
Lower the window all the way down and hold the switch down for two seconds.
Repeat the procedure for each window, including the rear quarter windows on convertible models, until all windows are initialized.

Could be a problem with the driver's door ajar switch (i.e.-the BCM thinks the door is closed because that is what the switch is reporting). Any other indication of that?

Yes I've tried the indexing procedue. I actually think its the switch within the door itself, I just need to find where it is!

The door ajar switch is in the latch assy - replaced as a unit.
