G6-GTP 2006--Runs Hot

Running temp 225 degrees. After ignition turned off, FAN runs for several minutes. Very hot environs near hood. Is this normal??

Does it actually run at 225? Mine always (7 months) runs at the next indicator bar down from 225 once warmed up, in winter and summer.

YES---225 DEGREES/////Has not overheated, but very hot air comes from engine afetr shutoff, ; Fan afterruns several minutes. Thanks

runs hot

for the past few years cars run hot-its for emission control- the g6 is stable at that temp in hot humid conditions with ac on-
