Driver Side Rear Door Won't Open from Inside

My Girlfriend has a 2005 G6 GT. She noticed a day after she bought it that the driver side rear door won't open from the inside. The door locks and opens from the outside like normal.

I assumed there was a "Child Safety" switch that caused this but can't find one anywhere.

Is there something I'm missing? Does the '05 G6 even have this feature?

Thanks

does it open when the door is unlocked?
I know there is a lockout switch on the front drivers door....
but I thought that was only for windows. Does she still have the manual?

I know they wont open when the door is locked.

The child safety switch;
Look on that door where the lach is, you should be able to see what postion its in. Your G6 should also have a key in the glove box but a screwdriver will work.

The door will not open whether it is locked or unlocked.

I don't see a switch in the latch area.

I'll take a picture and post it tomorrow.

I thought so too, but apparently not.

Any ideas?

Once it gets nicer out I may take the door apart and see if the mechanism just got disconnected.

She bought it used and it was like this.

I'm trying to avoid taking it in so she doesn't have to pay anything.

Nope, it's been cold around here the last few days....

I'm planning to take the door panel off and see if there is just something unhooked once it warms up a bit. It's not a huge problem for her right now, it'll just need to be fixed eventually.
