GTP indentifying disconnected tube

changed the oil on the wife's 2007 GTP and noticed oil leaking from somewhere under the decorative cover. I took the cover off and there is a tube going into the air intake tube. At the end of it is an angled rubber connector. It obviously needs to connect into a hole below that point for crankcase ventilation. that's where the oil was dribbling from. i tried to push the rubber connector into the hole and it doesn't fit. Is there some sort of PVC valve or something like that that's missing?
