F35 Shifter Fitment

All,

First time poster and owner of a G6 GTP. I having been doing some research and the fact the the 2005 Cobalt SS used the F35 (Saab Designed 5 Speed) and this uses the F40 (Saab designed 6 speed) I would be curious to know if the billet shifter that B&M and Hurst manufacture for the F35 would fit? Anyone try it? I believe the rail and socket setups along with the reverse lock out are the same. Thoughts?

Cory
