Broken exterior door handle

New to the site, mainly because of my problem.

2006 G6

One of our kids broke the rear passenger side exterior door handle. To make a short story long........she was hanging on to it and the dog leash also. The dog took off running and pulled her fast. The door handle snapped. If your looking at the handle, its still connected on the right side, the left side is hanging onto nothing. The question I have is, can I fix this at home myself? If yes, how hard is this to do. If I can't do it myself, any idea how much it may cost?

Thanks

Garage
i'm pretty sure this is accurate: open the door, on the inside of the door there will be a black circular "plug"...simply pry that off to reveal a screw within the door, remove that and slide the handle off.
