just to let you know. i tried a 15,20,25amp fuse on the right headlight and they all failed. I tried the 30amp fuse just for the right one and it didn't blow...but it won't turn on. So I put the right headlight fuse back to the regular with stock bulbs and they turn on still so I didn't fry any wiring. I've also tried both hid bulbs on the left one and they turn on so its not the bulb. I'm guessing it's the ballast?
yes i know i'm probably dumb for putting the higher fuses, was jsut testing to see if it turned on.
Check wiring to the ballast. If wiring is good then you may have a bad ballast.
Ohm out the ballast see if the power side is shorted to the case. That would be the easiest way to see if you have a bad ballast.
When you blow a fuse it is drawing too many amps this means there is either a short or the load is too high for the circuit.
You can also leave the HID bulb out of the socket, turn the lights on and see if it still blows a fuse. If it does blow you have some sort of shot drawing too many amps. If it does not blow check the power at the socket and see if you are getting the specified current that the ballast says it is supposed to put out.
I did some testing. I took the ballast that was blowing fuses and switched it over to the one that was working. Plugged the ballast in and the hid and it blew the left lowbeam fuse. I put the regular ballast back in and it worked and didn't blow any fuses. I think, the ballast is broke.
There is no relay. Basically ballast connects to hid bulbs and hid bulbs connect to stock harness. I know the g6 can handle hids on the stock harness. Do you guys think there is a short on the ballast that keeps blowing my fuse or what? And if that's the problem, then the ballast is fried and needs to be replaced?

The drivers hid works fine, but the passenger hid keeps blowing fuses. Now when I switched the passenger ballast to the driver side, it blows that fuse. So right now I have hid on driver and stock halogen on passenger lol.
I have the same problem in my car the driver side works just fine but the passenger side went out after pulling both headlights off taking the HID bulb out of the passenger side and testing it on the driver side ballast it worked so i checked the fuse box and the fuse for the passenger side was blown i have the 6000K 35w XENON
