2005 g6 3.5 v6

I am trying to find where a hose on the on engine like to do with egr goes. I was told to back of the engine but I do not see where it would go, I am attaching pictures to better explain what part I am trying to figure out the part with the stick stuck in it is what I need to replace.

It’s runs behind the engine. U need to feel around it’s hard to see
