DIC/Radio/Clock not working

06 Pontiac G6 Convertible, 85K miles.

This car has eaten batteries since the day I got it.... Anyhow, I recently put battery number 6 or 7 (I lost count) in, and the DIC/Radio/Clock quit working. Before the battery swap everything worked fine. I swapped the battery by removing and installing, as anyone would do who does not have the fancy onstar safe "battery charge keeper tool". (which is how I have done it the other 5 or 6 times).

As soon as I fired it up, the Clock/Radio/DIC was completely blank - no illumination. I figured it was a fuse, drove home and kinda ignored it for the last week... Now I want to fix it and have time. I figured out that if you press the clock button the display does illuminate as normal and the clock does come on but only stays on for a few seconds.

I checked the one and only fuse that has "Radio" on it.. can not find any fuse for DIC or Clock. I'm going to go out and pull random fuses one buy one while I wait for a response here...

So far the only other thing I have done diagnostic is remove the battery again to start fresh (as per another thread here) and hunt for fuses.
I did scan every search result here, but didn't find one close enough to my own problem.

Thanks in advance for any help.

[EDIT]
Additional forgot to put in 1st post.
When you pull the "Radio" fuse (in the cabin, center trans hump area) upon reinserting the fuse, the cd changer cycles through all 6 discs (there are 6 discs in the deck).
When you press clock and the clock comes on briefly if you press eject during that time it will eject a cd.
Unspoken, but just for clarity I'll say: none of the other DIC buttons do anything, and turning the radio on/off with the knob does nothing.

My current thinking is that the radio has 2 fuses, one switched and one continuous. I figure the "Radio" fuse is the continuous, and I am hunting for the unmarked switched one assuming it is blown.... be stupid if that also knocked out the DIC, but figuring GM is stupid so when in rome....

I hate getting old... I knew that I used to know how to fix this, but could not remember.... all the searching I missed the thread "weird radio" in which I of all people posted the solution:

https://www.g6ownersclub.com/forum/1...tml#post255378

"Disconnecting the battery for 24 hours and letting the BCM clear out all memory fixed it."

It hasn't been an hour yet, so don't know that this fixed me this time around, but 23 more to go
