i was just driving one day and the service esc and traction lights came on, i pulled the c0131 code and one other that i have now forgotten. it’s happened 3 times now, one time it happened and i was in stop and go traffic, when i would come to a stop it would seem like it wasn’t lurching forward again before stopping completely. i used my brothers mac scanner that gives code assist and it said body control module connector. i just wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem. thank you!
I was having Random ESC, ABS and theft lights late last year. (I didn't pull C codes). Sometimes different combos of those lights. Sometimes just lights, sometimes drivability issues, it was a huge wtf. After a number of different attempts to repair looking for electrical gremlins I stumbled on bulletin 13036. (Google it, I don't have a copy). It had been done before, but I figured it couldn't hurt to look into it. Some of the symptoms matched, and basically described poor connectivity at BCM.
Took 20 minutes and $15 worth of dielectric grease.
The short and sweet is to disconnect the brake pedal switch, fill the cavity with grease and reconnect. Pull BCM connector, fill cavity with grease, and reconnect.
Boom! Fixed it.
I can't say it will fix your issue, but it handled mine.
